Eddie Fenech Adami-PN

The PN is ready for the election and is confident to win. Eddie said that the PN is ready for an election while talking to the press after the short sitting of Parliament today. Parliament may be meeting under a new government and the PN are ready to rule that new Government for the good of all Malta.

The Nationalist Party will not be taking an active part in the parliamentary affairs in protest against the PM Dr. Alfred Sant, who insists on keeping on as Prim Minister after loosing a vote of confidence in Parliament last week.

During today's Parliamentary session the PN only participated in voting against the Government's motions. From now on all the Governments actions are to be criticized, as a mater of principle.

The Leader of the opposition and of the Nationalist party spoke in the PN Club of Isla at 10.00am on Sunday 12th July 1998.

He insisted that Alfred Sant cannot keep on functioning as the Prim Minister due to the fact that his government lost the vote of confidence.

Eddie Fenech Adami said that the Nationalist Party is ready for an early election and is willing to put Malta back on the right track.
