Eddie Fenech Adami vs. Alfred Sant
Eddie Fenech Adami is contesting this election for he believe that a new millennium calls for a united nation. Only the Nationalist Party is able to keep a united country, with strong values and Christian ethics. We all are images of God and we are therefore subject to Him. No body can place himself higher.
Eddie Fenech Adami is the most popular politician in Malta. He contests the eighth district and holds the National record of votes. He is a very religious man, a man of principle, ethically correct and not overconfident. He is realistic and straight forward. For this election he gave 230 promises, a lot, but they are concrete and all realistic.
Eddie Fenech Adami is capable of reaching his aims, as difficult as they seem. He has suffered a lot: his family was attacked several times, his house was destroyed, his public meetings were always attached by the Socialist Police of Mintoff in the 70s and 80s. But Eddie had Faith and Trust, bought in God and in the Maltese People. Eddie lead Malta to victory over Socialism in the Late 80s all the way to 1996. His methods were honest and fair. In October 1996 the PN lost to the 'New' Labour party of Alfred Sant.
This was no new party. But people forgot who Alfred Sant was. He was the man who orderd the break up of Eddie's home. He was responsible for the murder's of many Nationalists, amongst them Raymond Caruana, the Martyr of Freedom. Alfred Sant closed up university to the few people he chose when he was Secretary General of the MLP.
In 1996 Alfred Sant put on a 'NEW' image. But how credible was he? During the General Conference that made him Leader of the MLP, Alfred Sant sent threatening letter to his opposers.
Alfred Sant made a pact with the devil to win the 1996 election, this was confirmed by him and he also said it publicly.
Alfred Sant did the total opposite of what he said in the election. YES the total opposite, and this it factual.
He swore not to remove student stipends - In the 1998 Budget he removed them
He said the cost of living will go down - It has never been so high since 1986
He said he will remove taxes - He introduced 33 new takes in only 20 months
He said he had a united Party - After 6 month in Government his finance minister resigned, his justice minister left later and so did his personal advisor. Alfred Sant also fought with the MLP Deputy Leader. The Former MLP Prim Minister Mintoff voted against Alfred Sant and brought down his government. Alex Shiberass Trigona (AST)our MP also stated that Alfred Sant is an anti-social leader. AST, Mintoff, Lino Spiteri, Grech Mintoff and many other MLP deputirs will not contest the election with Alfred Sant.
